Hey everyone!
Its been a while since I’ve made an updated version of my video resume. 6 years to be exact, but who’s counting?
Anyway, I decided to create a new one using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. The video roughly plays 2x longer than its predecessor which gives viewers more time to absorb all of the work I’ve done up to this point.
What do you guys think? I am pretty happy with how it turned out and I even threw in a new logo intro while I was at it!
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below and thanks for watching!
This is so impressive!!!
Thanks! 🙂
Excellent!
Thanks Cathy!
Dad loves it! So do I!
Thanks you two 🙂
Love the visuals. Hate the music.
Can I ask why?
1. Too loud
2. I hate canned music
3. I don’t think the feel and cadence of the music matches your visuals.
4. I hate canned music
The music seems like you picked something and threw it in and let it run.
I love the visuals though. You have a great sense of timing and animation. Your motion graphic kicks big ass. I thought your heart thingy video was one of the best things I’v seen a student do.
I might be oversensitive about the music. I just hate it.
Maybe the synth drum isn’t time with anything. The background sound isn’t too bad. Something more Philip Glassish or more ethereal. After listening a few times, it is the synth beat gets on my nerves.
I also am not fond of the resume part after the motion graphic. The motion graphic captures me and I go wow but then I’m trapped with static resume info. Then when you get to individual print pieces I’m bored again. I don’t want to read little black boxes with text. Am I supposed to read or look at the image. The web portion is better cuz there is movement but still don’t know what I’m supposed to be seeing. The app and video are spot on though.
I would take the motion graphic, shorten it and play it again at the end as it will leave the viewer impressed with your name. OK, just don’t de-friend me now.
Oh gotcha the logo intro? Put it at the end too? Thanks man! Appreciate the suggestions.
I hope you found comments helpful. I love your stuff.
Love it!
